ORS Operations (level II) – 3 days

Occupational River Safety level II provides an excellent rescue foundation for all river professionals. Students enrolled in ORS II will observe and participate in Swiftwater Awareness (ORS I), self rescue techniques, proper use of throwbags, swimming with a victim, anchor building, applicable knots, mechanical advantage, foot and body entrapment, river wadding, tethered wadding, and commercial raft-flip scenario. Students who adequately pass a performance evaluation of the above skills and written test will receive a ORS II certification.
